Sarah's story
Hesitation
When Sarah (Not her real name) first thought about reaching out to a CBT therapist, she hesitated.
It wasn’t that she didn’t need help—she did. The anxiety had been creeping in more often, leaving her overwhelmed by even small decisions. But still, she told herself, “It’s not that bad” or “Other people have it worse.” The idea of therapy felt unfamiliar, maybe even intimidating. What would she say? Would she be judged? Would it actually help?
Weeks passed. The anxiety didn’t go away. One evening, after another sleepless night, Sarah sat down and sent a short message to a local CBT therapist she found online.
That small step changed everything.
Hope and recovery
In her first session, the therapist helped her feel safe, heard, and—most importantly—not alone. Over time, they worked together to identify patterns in her thinking and tools to manage them. No pressure, no rush—just steady, practical support.
Three months later, Sarah feels more confident, grounded, and in control. She still has tough days, but now she has strategies to face them. And she often thinks, “Why did I wait so long to ask for help?”
If you’re like Sarah—unsure, maybe a little nervous—you’re not alone. Reaching out is the hardest part. But it could also be the first step toward a better version of you.
