Are you able to help me?

CBT and EMDR are evidenced based psychotherapies recommended for a range of psychological conditions by the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE). I have extensive experience of delivering CBT and more recently EMDR. However, CBT is in part as good as what you are able to contribute to your own recovery. We can discuss this at the first assessment appointment.

Do you accept health insurance?

I currently accept AXA, AVIVA, CIGNA, WPA health insurance

What is the fee?

My fee is £85 per assessment and sessions. I will ask for payment at the point of booking the first session and within 48 hours of subsequent sessions via BACS. Thank you.

Is your service confidential?

Your confidential information will generally remain confidential. In rare circumstances where you or other people may be at risk then I may need to pass that information to a third party. If this is the case I would always try to discuss this in advance.

Do I offer concessions?

Unfortunately I am unable to offer concessions at this time.

Is my personal data safe?
I maintain paper and/or electronic information, this is securely stored online with the standards and guidance of UK data protection law. The guidance is known as the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) and is regulated by the Information Commissioner Office (ICO). My practice is registered with the ICO.
Am I registered?
Yes! I am registered with the British Association of Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapy (BABCP).

Psychotherapy or counselling?
CBT and EMDR take place over the medium to longer term and look at deeper psychological issues. These issues may be patterns of behaviour, emotional issues, trauma, depression and anxiety.

Counselling tends to be aimed at current life events such as relationships and grief and take place over a shorter timescale. If you would prefer a counselling approach please discuss this with me.

Am I supervised?

Yes I receive regular external supervision. Supervision provides valuable learning and guidance on my practice. The supervision process is confidential.
